More in depth bio...
Happily married to Jean and together they have two beautiful daughters, Amber and Emily. Originally from Butler, Pennsylvania, Ted began his musical journey during the late 70's in a band called "Main Street" with a bunch of high school buddies. While in college at Slippery Rock University he formed a rock band called "The End Result". That band led to an invitation to play in a PA blues based band called "Juke and the Jammers" in 1983. Ted eventually moved to Northern Virginia in 1985 to start his teaching career and got married in 1987. In 1991 he joined a Christian band fronted by recording artist, John Peterson, played keys for a country band, "South Bound USA", and ended the 90's with a Christian rock group "Jericho."

Ted, his wife, and two daughters moved to Clayton, North Carolina in 1998 as he continued make a name for himself in the Christian music circles. He started the band, "Call Waiting" that formed in 2000 and by 2002 Ted was hitting the road as a solo Christian artist playing events from Florida to Pennsylvania. After observing positive reactions from his Nashville recording and blues rendition of "God Bless America" he saw the opportunity to start a Christian Blues band, "Ted Fillhart and the Unlikely Heroes" in 2007. After a few years and some member changes the band changed its name to "Shelter" and became a pop rock band playing in clubs throughout the Raleigh area. During that time Ted was also booking solo gigs at area coffeehouses and venues playing classic rock hits.

2011 came along and Ted was asked by National Recording Artist, "KOLE", to join his band to add keyboard and vocal support of occasional tours from Florida to Virginia. Ted also joined Kole to add keyboard support to the hard rocking band, "Shadows Down" based out of Richmond, VA in 2011 through 2012. Ted played with "Mark Roberts and the Occasionals" from 2011-2013. and was a member of the "Jordan River Band" 2013-14 and played keys and sang with the "Walt Wetherington Project" from  2013-17.
